Take Local Action

Protect Our Kids

Several organizations have recently adopted resolutions that express their commitment to protect our kids from exposure to alcohol advertising. Some local governments have passed ordinances prohibiting alcohol advertising on city-owned property. Individuals and groups have notified alcohol companies when their advertising appears to violate their own voluntary codes.

Invite your organization to show its resolve to reduce youth exposure to alcohol advertising. Your church, community association, or other organization can use the following samples to adopt its own resolution.

Does your city sell public space to advertise alcohol? Check out this sample ordinance to reduce kids' exposure to alcohol ads.

Let the alcohol companies know when you see ads that appear to violate their voluntary codes.

Whatever action you take, be certain to let CAMY know the story.
